brush your teeth and have a cough drop

chew up a tums really good, swish it around in your mouth with some water thoroughly, gargle it around, and swallow it. I guess you could also use baking soda and water, as it’s a weak base, but I’d stick to using something alkaline like tums rather than a weak base, as it will buffer the pH closer to a neutral value rather than making your mouth basic.

Tums are made of calcium carbonate, the same stuff as limestone. They neutralize hydrochloric acid (stomach acid) very effectively

Do not brush your teeth for a half hour, stomach acid will soften the enamel temporarily.

I always have pretty good luck with Pepcid Complete. But it’s best to use as soon as you realize you’ve eaten too much, before you start the reflux starts.
