NeoJoe asked: What causes heartburn?
And, how come some people get it but others do not? Even kids/teens get it, right? Not just adults.

heartburn is evil…it picks on some people, but not on others. i never had heartburn before. but near the end of m pregnancy…oh baby! it got so bad there were times i was ready to hit the ER becaue i couldn’t breathe, and the pain was so horrible!
there’s many causes for it, but mostly because of the way your body reacts with the acids in the food you eat. and caffeine agrivates it as well. spicy foods, citrus fruits, soda…and apparently pregnancy can cause it…and sometimes it’s so bad that water makes it worse!
kids and teens can get it, but i think it’s more common the older you get. i don’t know why, and wikipedia didn’t say. but there’s the link to all the scientific mumbo jumbo.
